The Northern Lights were AWESOME! Did you see the Aurora Borealis on Friday night?? May 10, 2024!

What a magical and historic night! From capturing the Northern Lights above my home to chasing them in darker locations, it was truly an unforgettable experience that I’ll cherish forever! We just witnessed the strongest geomagnetic storm in 21 years (G5 which is the strongest) so if you saw it and took it all in, congratulations! This was an extremely rare event. Being an Aurora chaser for the longest time and seeing these literally in my neighborhood was truly special. The 3rd time seeing these beautiful lights was definitely the most impressive as even on an Alaska cruise or the US/Canada border wasn’t a KP Index of 9 which is the highest possible and we got it today! At one point my Aurora app said I have a 100% chance of seeing the Aurora and I looked up and there they were with the naked eye. Truly an amazing night that I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Thank you Lady Aurora for putting on a show!!
