RePitch 2 is obviously packed with pitch correction tools, but in this video I’m focusing on the timing side—specifically the new Smart Attack features. I show you the “old way” most of us end up doing it in a DAW: zooming in, dropping bend/warp markers, and dragging individual consonants and transients around. It works, but on a big vocal stack it’s painfully slow, and even DAW quantize features usually won’t land you exactly where you want. Then I walk through the workflow that makes RePitch 2 really shine for home studio mixing: using the lead vocal as the “grid.” I apply RePitch 2 across the whole stack, tweak the lead’s attack timing (so the lead is the musical reference), and then I jump to each harmony and hit “Align all attacks to grid.” In seconds, the whole stack tightens up without sounding robotic—because it’s conforming to a natural performance, not a rigid tempo grid. Finally, if you’re a VocALign user, I show how RePitch 2 can feed VocALign 6 by enabling it as the capture source. That gives you a clean, fast way to lock backing vocals to the lead and add that last bit of polish that makes stacks sound like a record.
