BUSTERse is the one I reach for when I want bus compression—especially to glue drums together. The idea is that when the kick and snare trigger gain reduction, the whole kit moves together, which can make it feel more cohesive. I keep it fairly gentle (often around 3:1) and I’m really picky about release timing, because that’s where the groove lives.
