In this video I’m sharing two of my finished women’s fashion crochet projects—a cozy crochet sweater and a beautiful poncho—and I’m also giving you my real-life tips on how I choose a good crochet pattern before I ever pick up my hook. For the sweater, I used a free online pattern (linked below), and I’ll walk you through what I look for in a pattern so you’re not left guessing halfway through. I talk about the kinds of details that matter to me, like clear sizing info, stitch explanations, and whether the pattern is written in a way that’s easy to follow. For the poncho, I used Lion Brand Mandala yarn and pulled the pattern from a book I show in the video (also linked).
