In this video, I’m back with an in-depth and honest review of Project Elixir 4.1, and I tested it on my Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (miatoll). This build is based on Android 14 with the February 5, 2024 security patch, and it’s running the Forza kernel. I walk you through the standout “exclusive” features shared by the developers (mainly for premium/early access users), like the lock screen clocks—14 different styles—and the depth clock collection with around 26 options, which genuinely makes the lock screen feel unique. I also checked performance using AnTuTu and Geekbench 6. On AnTuTu I got 389,367, which is a tiny drop compared to 4.0, but in real usage the performance felt consistent. Geekbench 6 came out slightly better than the previous build (756 single-core, 1864 multi-core). I also confirm it doesn’t support KernelSU out of the box, but you can add it by flashing a compatible kernel. Beyond that, I cover the new launcher changes (Lawnchair with tons of customization and a crazy amount of fonts), Island-style notifications, and miscellaneous tweaks like left-side volume panel and higher FPS unlock. Finally, I’m transparent about bugs I found—mostly around Quick Settings customization and some haptics—then I share what I’d do if you face network or YouTube playback issues (and why a clean flash fixed my lag).
