The John Muir Trail – Part 8: Storms on Forrester Pass (Bubbs Creek → Guitar Lake)

Our journey on the JMT is almost over but not without some intrigue! After being in a "heat bubble' for most of our hike, thunderstorms started to build and hit us on the exposed section of trail at the top of Forrester Pass. We decided to go past Crabtree Meadows to Guitar Lake and in another very exposed place, endured 2.5hrs of thunderstorms. It was a beautiful but challenging day on the John Muir Trail.
