Wolf Tooth B-Rad Mini Roll Top Bag - Best Option For MTB Storage? It costs you nothing extra, but helps support this channel! This is the Wolftooth B-Rad Mini Roll top bag and it costs $34.99, or 39.99 with optional mounting plate, but more on that in a bit. It offers .6l of storage, is water resistant, and constructed from PVC backed 420D ripstop nylon. I've got a tube, tire levers, and multitool in mine with enough room for a Co2 cartridge whenever I actually buy one. Roll the top down, then clip it closed and go rip it. You can mount it with the strap on your frame, under your saddle, or with the optional mounting plate. The mounting plate however requires the additional purchase of the B-Rad Base in either 2 slot, 3 slot, or 4 slot configurations. 2 slot is 19.95, 3 slot is 22.95, and the 4 slot is 24.95. I got the 3 slot and it attaches to the mounting holes on your frame. I originally tried the 2 slot base, but it wasn't long enough to hold the bag and a water bottle. Live and learn. The 3 base comes with a foam pad to protect your frame, and a zip tie if needed to hold it down. I didn't use the zip tie. The base allows you to attach a variety of accessories from WolfTooth, and allows you to reposition your water bottle if need be. Now I have my tools and such low on the bike, and my water bottle even higher up and easier to reach. Brilliant! Time to test it really quick. Cased a jump. Solid. Landed flat off this drop. Stays put. Did a wallride. Defying gravity! Here I am clearing that jump for credibility. What I like: It's more secure than just a basic gear strap. Not worried at all about things falling off the bike. Nice to know I can store snacks in here and won't get any trail muck on them. Yum! Quality seems high which is always the case with WolfTooth What I don't like: It's pretty expensive. My total investment for this option is $63. Pretty steep to hold some items. The supplied screws use a torx head. The only torx head I own is on my multi-tool, but I have thousands of allen keys laying around. Not sure why they used torx screws. The bag rolls down over the top mounting loop giving you one less mounting option. The bag has 3 loops to run your strap through, but even in their promotional photos, it's rolled down over the top loop, so can't get the strap through that loop. I tried folding it the opposite way, but it's far less cooperative. The wolf tooth b-rad system is pretty great. Lots of versatility, well made products, and a secure way to tote crap around. An expensive initial investment, but in the end you get what you pay for. My suggestion would be if you just need storage and don't care about the water bottle, just get the bag for $34.99 and attach to frame. The mounting base is just too darn expensive. And there you have it, a quick review about a bag. Stay rowdy within reason.
