Welcome back to day 2 of the Bentonville trip where we are starting things off at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. Less than 5 miles from downtown Bentonville on some country roads that you’d typically see on a postcard is this miniature downhill park without a lift. Needless to say our journey starts with a climb…well hike to the Hub. This launch pad to gnarliness features 3 unique entry points to various downhill trails. Not wanting to climb a bunch the group decided to session the first part of cease & desist to work on jumps. After this we decided to take “fire line” down to the bottom then head over to Esthers loop. There we were greeted with another climb that led to my favorite line of the whole trip the thunderdome! Matt and I decided to pit our Jeffsys against each other in a 27.5 vs 29 dual slalom downhill race to the death. In Matt’s efforts to pass me he went a bit too rowdy. Luckily he was fine, and I guess we’ll have to settle this wheel size debate another time. After Coler we decided to check out more of Slaughter Pen. Hung around the skills park for a bit, climbed 10% of the way up to the downhill trail, and even had a blast hitting this skills course for kids. Day two was a good time and was in my opinion the best day of the trip. Check back next week where we ride the railyard, and I’ll teach you how not to do a wall ride. Thanks so much for watching, click that little thumbs up button, and until next week…stay rowdy within reason.
