Today we’re riding Cat Mountain in Austin with BKXC, No Front Brakes, MTB Drop In, Huntstyle and Chris CXK. BKXC: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3DFdy_qc-cqgKCyQTHLGzA No Front Brakes: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2e9JrZHH6gVcAq2HSspKKw MTB Drop In: https://www.youtube.com/user/1t2t3t4u Huntstyle: https://www.youtube.com/user/huntstyle Chris CXK: https://www.youtube.com/user/mynamesdenvrmax Freeride 512: http://www.freeride512.com/ My nerves were surprisingly calm around such a star studded cast of talented creators, but they hit the fan once we dropped into this wild cat trail. Immediately rolling into the gate on loose jagged rocks I realized this would be a challenging time, and I couldn’t be any more stoked to push myself. What better way to progress than riding with advanced riders on a technical trail system? One of the first features we rolled up on had me questioning my life choices. As tony here demonstrates, it’s a steep, slippery slope to the bottom. While I kind of wanted to skip this and live another day, but BKXC is sitting at the bottom watching and telling me I got this. Time to swallow those nerves and go for it. Now before I show you the outcome of this, I must say the GoPro really flattens it out, so here’s a quick clip of me trying to walk up this same hill. Ok back to the action. That felt great to accomplish that, and it can only get easier from here right? Heh. This place is full of steep, chunky, narrow, and off camber trails, so the margin of error is rather low here. I’m going to edit out the majority of the climbs because most of them had us walking. This place is super fun and probably the most challenging trail I’ve been on in Texas so far. Even Brian said they were similar to single and double black diamonds he’s ridden. What’s the toughest trail you’ve ridden on? I had such a great time we went back up for another run. Remember that margin of error I mentioned earlier? Well…yeah I forgot about it. The full face really saved my money maker this time. I had such an awesome time on this adventure and got to ride with so many cool people. It was great to meet Brian and Tony as well as share a trail with Eric, Matt, and Chris again. Unfortunately this is a private trail system so I can’t reveal its location. It is built and maintained by the Freeride 512 group, so you can join them and be invited on a group ride there. Also, sorry if you were hoping to see a bunch of Brian in this video, he’s as fast as you’d imagine and pretty far ahead of me. I hope you enjoyed this video regardless and you should consider subscribing if you aren’t already. A new adventure on wheels awaits you weekly, and we’d love to have you. Thanks so much for watching and until next week, stay rowdy within reason.
