Service launch | Mi-Link autonomous bus

First Bus recently launched its first electric autonomous shuttle service on the Milton Park business park in Oxfordshire. The service uses a specially-equipped Mellor Orion E minibus within the estate, which is manned by a driver who can take control if necessary, such as in unusual situations where the autonomous software is unable to work out what to do. In normal use, the bus will function in fully-autonomous mode. The service will be supplemented by a link which will operate to and from Didcot railway station using an electric Switch MetroCity single-decker. Both buses wear a bespoke version of First's corporate livery.
