Join us as we board Swiss operator PostBus’ Alpine route 164 towards Schwarzwaldalp aboard an Iveco Crossway, on a journey through spectacular mountain scenery - and not forgetting the iconic post horn to warn other road users of the bus approaching on this narrow and twisty mountain pass. PostBus, also known as PostAuto in German as well as Car Postal in Switzerland’s French-speaking regions, and AutoPostale in Italian-spakking areas, operated regional bus services across Switzerland, serving both locals and tourists. Many routes operate around narrow mountain roads, where oncoming traffic as well as walkers and cyclists can pose significant hazards.
