We take a ride aboard the autonomous Mellor Orion E electric bus in use at the Milton Park business park development in Oxfordshire. The bus, England’s first electric, autonomous bus carrying passengers in normal service, operates in autonomous mode for most of the route, though not around the terminus loop at Bee House, and the driver is able to intervene where the bus is unsure or where it encounters an abnormal situation, for example through temporary roadworks.
