Nitrox allows you to have increased NDL (no decompression limits), can potentially help you feel less tired after diving, and some even claim it helps with their SAC rate as well. Unfortunately, Nitrox Diving dangers and risks exist as well, and if you don't take the proper precautions, diving nitrox can be dangerous. Nitrox blends have max operating depths (MODs) that need to be adhered to, and the only way to calculate this is to know what percentage of oxygen is in your nitrox blend. This means analyzing your blend properly. In this video, I use the Nuvair O2 Quickstick Oxygen Analyzer to showcase how to properly analyze a nitrox tank for scuba diving, how to check your cylinder's oxygen percentage, how to log your nitrox blend, how to mark your tank, and the risks involved with not analyzing your nitrox tank before diving.
