When you’re starting out, you don’t need expensive brushes — synthetics are absolutely fine and won’t break the bank. I recommend having at least four sizes: a general workhorse, one for washes, a fine detail brush, and a tiny micro brush for eyes/teeth and other small bits. A cheap set like this gets you painting properly without stressing about ruining premium brushes.
