So come along for all the cleaning motivation 2023 & as always, Happy Homemaking!!! ~ Christina SUBSCRIBE HERE: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1BLbSMIaIQ5tgWLEzJ8kYg?sub_confirmation=1 *TIPS TO KEEP YOUR SPACE ORGANIZED* Whenever I am able to keep something organized, I like to stop and think “okay, what made that “stick”this time?” The pantry is one of those spaces that my organization stuck and So I have come up with a few tips, based on what I DID in this space that I think helped it to stick Tip # 1 ALWAYS declutter the space first AND recognize that decluttering is not a “1 and done” kind of thing - commit to regularly going through the space will help your system to stick - purging things or little declutters will be a normal part of this TIP #2 - Once you have decluttered your space - or moved into a new space - Try leaving with your space that way for a bit BEFORE buying your containers or anything - to see what you reach for and if maybe some things may even get moved to another space. DO NOT BE AFRAID to move things around - I used to feel like this meant the system wasn’t working - But now I realize it makes sense that it would need to be “tweaked” very few things just “work” immediately and that is unrealistic, letting go of “getting it right the first time” really helped TIP # 3 - When you move things around - make sure you show your family where things go - if its not self explanatory - Labels help with this BUT it also helps if you put something in a place that your spouse doesn’t like - this is his chance to speak up… I dont think most men really care, but its nice to give them a chance to see it before you move on .. TIP # 4 - Trying not to multi-task when you are decluttering or organizing - Try focusing just on that ONE thing and dont mentally be decluttering your other rooms while you are at it - focus will help you get this “right” more quickly. TIP # 5 - Make it pretty! Now FUNCTIONALITY ALWAYS comes first and Personally I used to think this didn't matter BUT what I HAVE noticed over the last few years is that it REALLY does make a difference! When my space looks pretty I WANT to keep it that way.
