Everything you need to know to visit to Balabac, part of Palawan in the Philippines #balabac #philippinestravel #palawan #beautifuldestinations I have been to 164 countries and this is probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen in my life. Be sure to watch the video as I will explain everything you need to know to visit Balabac Islands in the Philippines. WHAT IS BALABAC, PALAWAN? Balabac is a remote island municipality in the far south of Palawan, Philippines. It is close to the border with Malaysia (Sabah). It’s known for insaely white sandbars, crystal-clear turquoise water, no mass tourism, lots of sea life. Balabac is often described as “the Maldives of the Philippines”, but in a more raw and undeveloped way. WHICH CAMP TO STAY AT IN BALABAC? I personally chose to stay Camp Andong. This is a family owned business and they are an absolutely incredible group of people that make sure that you have a good time. HOW TO BOOK: contact Ella at Balabac Island Safari (WhatsApp: +63 995 414 2789) COST TO BOOK: there are a few options for packages 3D2N = 14,000 PHP ($242) per person 4D3N = 16,500 PHP ($285) per person 4D3N = 19,500 PHP ($337) per person 6D5N = 22,500 PHP ($389) per person WHAT IS INCLUDED? This includes all your food, accommodation, comfy bed, your transportation from Puerto Princesa, and getting back there as well. You can also choose to stay in a hut rather than attend accommodation, and this was definitely worth it. It was an additional 1000 PHP ($17) per night WHAT TO EXPECT: There is no running water however there are legit toilets that you flush using water, bucket, showers, and makeshift sinks. As far as food, they were very accommodating based on dietary restrictions, but we found that they offered lots of fresh fish, chicken if you eat that, and tons of fruits and vegetables. We were eating constantly and having such tasty food. HOW TO GET TO BALABAC, PHILIPPINES? 1. Fly to Puerto Princesa (PPS) This is usually a 90 minute flight from Manila or Cebu 2. Get picked up by the Tour company You will take a five hour shared van to the dock in Rio Tuba They picked us up at 3 o’clock in the morning 3.
