After spending the last year dialing in this truck (fixing suspension issues, changing my wheel and tire setup, and adding a few upgrades), I wanted to see how it would handle over 160 miles of desert trails, sand, rocks, and mountain terrain. The route starts near Joshua Tree, heads through Johnson Valley (home of King of the Hammers) to check out places like Giant Rock, Hammertown, Chocolate Thunder, and Backdoor, and eventually finishes up in the mountains near Big Bear. I mapped the entire route as part of my Rugged Adventures collaboration with onX Offroad, so you can follow it yourself. The link above includes the full route, waypoints, and planning details if you want to run it in your own truck. Happy wheeling! 🤘
