In this video I put the Rokid AI Glasses Style up against the Ray-Ban Meta glasses and answer the real question: does Rokid actually beat Meta, or is it just trying to? After wearing the Rokid Style for a few weeks, I stopped thinking of them as a “tech gadget” and started treating them like my actual daily glasses—and that’s honestly the highest compliment I can give anything in this category. I break down comfort details like weight (38.5g bare / ~47g with my lenses vs ~54g for Meta with lenses), the grippy liquid-silicone nose pads that don’t slide in warm weather, titanium hinges, and IPX4 splash resistance. The biggest difference is the AI experience. Rokid runs an open AI ecosystem (ChatGPT or Gemini), and in my testing the vision descriptions were noticeably more detailed than Meta’s. Rokid also brings Microsoft Translator (89 languages, with some offline packs) and Google Maps turn-by-turn navigation—features Meta Gen 2 doesn’t currently match. For creators, I go deep on camera workflow: both are 12MP, but Rokid supports multiple aspect ratios (3:4, 4:3, 9:16), records up to 10 minutes per clip, and adds IMU-based stabilization, plus 32GB storage and audio recording with auto transcription. My takeaway is simple: if you care about AI features, translation, and flexible content creation, Rokid offers more capability for the money. If you’re all-in on social integrations (Instagram/WhatsApp) and want richer audio, Meta still has real advantages.
