When I’m selling a course, webinar, challenge, or single event, I get this question all the time: “What do I do with members after they sign up, but before the start date?” In this video, I walk through how I use Mighty Networks to bring people into the right Space immediately—even if I’m not ready for them to see the content or join live calls yet. The goal is simple: keep them informed, comfortable, and excited, while I finish building behind the scenes. I share four practical setups. For a one-time event or free webinar, I’ll create a Space that basically holds the event page—date/time, RSVP, details, and a simple comment area for interaction. For a cohort course with live sessions, I like landing people on a Page feature with start info, prep steps, links to the activity feed for an icebreaker, and prompts to add live calls to their calendar (sometimes with an orientation call first). For challenges, I’ll either welcome them with a Page plus an open chat room, or I’ll use a locked table of contents so they can preview what’s coming without accessing it yet. It’s smoother for participants and less stress for me—everybody’s ready to go when the start date hits.
