About This Video

In this video I’m walking you through a planner change I honestly didn’t expect to make so soon. I had moved out of my Bloom Vision Planner and into the Bloom Ultimate (week on one page), and while that worked for certain things, I realized I really and truly prefer a vertical layout in the season I’m in right now—because my daily to-do lists are heavy and I need things condensed. On top of that, I’ve got a lot of paper coming at me (schedules, lists, printouts), and I needed everything consolidated and simplified into one central place. So I decided to try the Plum Paper Vertical Priorities Planner in 8.5x11, discbound, and fully customized. I show the neutral layout I chose (no shading so I can use any highlighters/stickers), my Monday-start weeks with a Sunday-start monthly (because that’s how my brain sees a month), and the headings I picked: “Today,” “Work,” an open task list, and “Dinner” (because I always meal plan at the bottom). I also talk through the dashboard pages, the duplicate shaded weeks at month transitions, how I’m using Post-it tabs to organize all my extra papers, and why I’m still brain-dumping on list pads—but now I can punch them and actually keep them in the planner. I’ll be real: I expected instant relief, but I’m still adjusting. I love the weekly layout, but I’m feeling a little lost on the monthly spread, so I’m giving myself time to settle in and keep it simple while I figure out what truly works.
