In today’s video I’m decluttering and organizing my living room as part of the A Bowl Full of Lemons 2025 Home Organization Challenge (Week 10). I had a couple of specific spots I wanted to tackle—like that green desk/table with the drawers that used to hold cameras, batteries, and random chargers back when I didn’t have an office. Now that I do, it just wasn’t serving my family well, so I emptied everything out, decluttered what didn’t make sense anymore, and started thinking through a better way to use that space. This also turned into way more of a deep clean than I planned (which is honestly how it always goes). Once I took the curtains down, I realized I had totally skipped the blinds in last month’s cleaning—and they were dusty. So I dusted all the blinds, cleaned the windowsill, vacuumed behind and on the couch (including that flat ledge that collects dust like crazy), and washed my “new” curtains (the ones I’ve owned and loved for years). I share my tip for washing curtains—skip the dryer and hang them back up to dry—plus I walk through cleaning out part of my TV cabinet, including the side with games and puzzles… and yes, I absolutely dropped the poker chips everywhere.
