“in today's video I'm going to be taking you through the money planner from the passionate Penny Pinter as well as some new accessories so stay [Music] tuned hey guys my name is Nikki and I want to welcome you here to Carrie Grace I am pretty excited about today's video the team from the passionate Penny Pincher they reached out to me to see if they could send me the money planner so that I could share it with you guys and of course I said yes I am a huge fan of all things passionate Penny Pinter and on launch day they also had some new accessories available and so I ordered the new highlighters the new pens and the new pouch so we're going to go through all of those things before we do that though I'm going to save the planner for last I want to show you something that you get when you order the money planner so when you get the money planner you get 10 envelopes that way if you are somebody that uses a cash based envelope system you have really nice envelopes to use now I didn't open both packs but each one is so cute they're all the different little like prints and colors that the passionate Penny Pincher has and they have a place where you can label them they have nice snaps they're like a they're a nice like plastic kind of material and I think these are going to hold P up really well for a cash envelope system so I wanted to show you those first so that I can get those out of the way all right so I'm going to set the planner aside and we are going to talk about accessories because you guys passionate Penny Pincher they always do an amazing job with their products they do such a good job making quality products and I was blown away I wasn't really sure what to expect but they definitely did a good job okay before we talk about these pens and highlighters I want to show you the new zipper pouch now at first I was like I don't really need a new zipper pouch pink really isn't one of my favorite colors I already have the blue one I already has have the cream one I don't need it but then I was like you know I have to get it and my plan was to give this away but now that I have this in person I am totally keeping it so just know that so this is the new one and this is the first time that they have had this available where you could just order the pouch in previous years they've had pouches they had the blue pouch and then they also had the cream pouch and you had to order the whole accessory kit to get these so I love that they are making this available on its own so real quick I want to show you how I use these and why I like them so much so first of all the colors are beautiful and the quality is really nice so the blue one this is the original one it's just like a nice like a vegan leather kind of material it's got a nice zipper and then on the inside it has the little polka dot print so I use this one for like camera accessories and lighting accessories I've got some like add-ons for my tripods and some remotes and things like that and I just like to keep this handy to my desk so that I always have it all right so the cream one I've used this one quite a bit I'm going to show you the inside it has that blue floral pattern and inside this is where I keep various chargers for things that I have things like my Fitbit and all of my different earbuds I've got ear things in here lots of stuff like that so I like having everything just separated and coralled the pink I wasn't expecting to really like this pink but y'all it is so pretty and I'm not always a pink person but look at the inside it is the colorful floral pattern and it is so pretty so I'm probably going to actually be using this one for my pens and highlighters so that I can keep them together so I just wanted you guys to know that if pink isn't your thing they do have accessory kits I don't know which ones are available like I don't know that these are still available but check and see if they are if they're not the pink one like I said it's wonderful because you can order it separate you don't have to get the full accessory kit to get these so I also wanted you to know that you can think outside the box you don't just have to put pens and highlighters and planner supplies in here you can use them for things and the cool thing is because I have all three they look really cute on my shelf together cuz they all match and we all like things that match right all right so let's talk about pens and highlighters so I ordered two packs of highlighters I told you guys I was thinking about doing a giveaway for the pink pouch and I decided to keep it but I did get an extra set of highlighters so that I can give a seta away so check out the giveaway that I'm going to host over on Instagram so make sure when you're done this bright colors quick dry dual tipped chisel and bullet point and they shocked me like they're good so we're going to go through those in a minute and then I also wanted you to see the pens I'm going to go ahead and take the pens out of the packaging these pens are A5 mm fine point gel pen they are black they are retractable and they have a metal clip and y'all these things are gorgeous I like how the metal clip is gold it's got a nice Barrel it fits in your hand nicely and they write really well I did some testing with them last night and one of my planners and I'm a fan I've actually been gravitating for a long time to a point 38 like an ultra fine pen but when I used these I actually really liked it and I have been in for a05 lately just here and there so I may be switching to these pens for like all the time because they're so pretty all right so let's talk about the highlighters I showed you guys the packaging they did such a good job with the packaging and the highlighters are adorable so each one says something different this one says today's the day so very thankful Rejoice always be the light dream big and make your mark and after testing them I will tell you that these two are my favorite the colors are just so pretty and they are so beautiful inside the passionate Penny Piner planner so I'm going to grab my passionate Penny Piner home planner and we're going to do some testing all right so in the back of my planner this is where I swatched all of the Washi tapee when it came out so we're going to do a pen test and a highlighter test on the other side so I'm just going to write so I'm just going to write p p p Gill pen they are very very smooth they don't like skip or scratch or anything like that they're really really nice and then let's see what they look like on the back there is no bleeding on the back which is a good thing all right so let's take a look at the highlighters you get a chisel tip and a fine tip and I'm not doing these in any particular order look how pretty these colors are so I believe these are considered the muted colors cuz it said muted and bright and then I don't know that one's really good too it's nice and muted so maybe this is considered bright and this one is muted and then here's the blue that's a little bit brighter and the yellow and the yellow is definitely bright for sure let me zoom in a little bit all right so now you can see how those look let's check the paper and there is no bleed through you can kind of see it if you really look but it didn't like bleed through or anything like that all right so these are exciting I um one thing though that I did notice I didn't love is that there's not a way to like put the cap on the end of the other side um and so I feel like it could be easy to lose a cap but it's obviously not like a deal breaker it's just something that I'm used to having on a highlighter so I did want to point that out but y'all these things are so pretty and I love like the fonts that they used on them they are just so pretty I'm going to put them on this white paper so that you can see them really well cuz I know it's kind of hard to see some things on this floral mouse pad that I have all right so you can see them all right there and then here are the pens and I even like the yellow pen the two Blues are obviously my favorite though look how adorable all right so these are the new accessories for my order and by the way I did purchase this stuff with my own money except for the money planner they did send me the money planner but I really wanted the highlighters and everything and with my order it was enough to get a free bag so I got one of those little reusable bags and I've always wanted to get one in this pattern and I finally got one so that was exciting all right I'm going to switch things up and then we're going to go through the money planner all right so here is the money planner now the thing to know about this is this is not like a dated planner this is a planner that has money plan worksheets is a place to store your account information password organization in case of emergency records monthly challenges and checklists monthly overviews and reviews daily spend ledgers monthly savings tips customizable months stickers and cash budget envelopes so I already showed you the envelopes and you get 10 envelopes and then you open it up and you do get a ruler it's just a ruler that you can put in and out and you can use it as a bookmark then you open it up and you get some stickers and these are obviously all budget related I know there's a glare because of the gold foil so I'm trying to hold it so you can see them but we've got some little dots we've got gold budget gold budget payday paid savings notes overdue Auto things like that these are your months so you've got January through December with a small little Tab and then you've got the bigger tabs and then you've also got some tabs down here then you also get some really cute quotes and these are all just to encourage you to keep going don't quit all your work is worth it every day is a fresh start trust the process so these are meant to just encourage you throughout your money Journey all right so next you have your page where you can put your name and then you turn the page and you get a letter from Lori she always gives she always has such a nice letter in all of her planners they're just encouraging they're meant to cheer you on and they just kind of share her heart behind her products then you get a table of contents and this is just going to show you all the different things that are in this planner there's a lot of stuff in this planner I'm going to try to move through it quickly but we're going to try to cover everything so the first thing you get is a place for long-term financial goals and savings planning so you got a place to set two one-year goals with steps to take and then two five-year goals with steps to take and then over here you've got some savings planning so what are you specifically saving for right now would you like to go on vacation is there an area in your home you'd like to spruce up so these are different things that you can list out you've got the amount du buy and then a place to list all of your deposits the next thing we have is a net worth worksheet and she goes through the process with you tells you exactly how to fill this out you got a place for all of your assets your liabilities and a place for notes and then the second page is the same thing this is where you can kind of check in to see how you did this year and then you can copy this page if you'd like so that you can update it a few times each year all right so the next thing we have is a bill payment tracker so this is basically where you're just going to list out all of your monthly bills you've got a place to list the bill the amount the due date and then you can check it off when it is paid and then she also gives you some tips all right so this is a bill schedule at a glance now this is not supposed to look like a regular planner page it is listed the first through the 31st and this is just a place for you to write in all of your bills that are due so that you can kind of see them in a monthly type glance so over here they're just listed like in a list form over here you're going to kind of see where things are due throughout the month and then you also have a place to list out some things that are due quarterly and annually and then you get a place for some notes all right so the next thing you get is an annual budget overview she also gives you some tips right here you got all of your categories right here and then your income and then you have a place to list out all of the expenses for 12 months now I know I said this is not like a monthly planner this is meant so that you can start at any time that you want these tabs do not say like January February March they are month one month two month three so you could have started this in January if you had it you could start it in March you could start it in July you can start it any month that you want because it's not actually dated you just start at the beginning and work your way through so here's your annual budget overview and then you have a savings account Ledger and so this gives you all of your different categories the amounts and then months 1 through 12 and she tells you like I'm not going to read all of these things but she gives you instructions on how to use these Pages which is really nice so if you're new to budgeting don't be overwhelmed she this planner will literally walk you through all of the different things you don't have to have ever done this before especially like if you're just completely new to budgeting and youve decided hey I really want to pay off some debt or I really want to save up for XYZ this is a tool that will walk you through those things step by step all right the next thing you have is a debt reduction plan and right here you've got the name of the debt beginning balance minimum pay payment and then you're going to have the payment date payment amount and the balance and then you have that for one two three four different debts and then you have a place to track your grocery budget expenses this is something that I'm always having to work on I really like how this is laid out so you've got January through December but again this is undated so you could start in July and then you know go this way and then come back you could start in March go this way and then come back you can use this at any point in time so for the grocery store you've got a place to list the day that you went the store and the amount and then you can total up what you spent for the month again she gives you some tips the next thing we have is a bank account information and this is just so that you can have all of your information in one place so you've got 1 2 3 4 you've got room for eight different bank accounts so checking savings all of those all of those different kind of accounts that you have you can put all of that information in here then you've got a place for credit card information subscription information and then you have a password organizer so I really like that this is kind of just a place to keep everything all together it's really really nice all right the next thing you have is in in case of emergency so you got all of your emergency contact information basic information spouse's basic information emergency contacts medical information health history spouse's health history family health history and notes so again lots of information all in one place and then we have some notes Pages there are 1 two 3 4 five six blank notes pages that you can use however you would like I noticed that there were four different credit cards on that page maybe you have more than four credit cards you could use one of these pages and put that information here um or just any kind of notes you could use this for lots of different things but it is really nice that that is in there all right so now we're going to go through a month so we're just going to start with month one and the first thing you have is a monthly overview you're going to set aside a few minutes to plan what you'd like your money to do for you this month review those goals weekly and complete your daily spending Le Ledger each day intentionally decide to spend wisely and you'll see success this year so she gives you some prompts to do at the beginning of the month some things to do at the beginning of the week and some things to do daily so you're going to be able to check all of these things off once you've completed them and then you have a place for listing your biggest Financial goal for the month who will benefit because you've chosen to wisely care for your money today so these are just helping you kind of think through some things think about your why and then what are you most excited about in regards to your financial future then there's other prompts for you to fill out and each month you have a different goal let me look at the table of contents and make sure I remember this correctly yes so each month 1 through 12 you have a different goal so for the first month you're going to start a family budget meeting hold a family budget meeting once a month discuss what you're saving for what goals you have and ways you'll celebrate when you reach each goal to make it extra special cook a favorite meal and get excited about your family's financial future together so there are prompts for you to work through there then you have a plan well section are you ready to dream big with your money is this is where you'll keep track of all the ideas you're looking forward to decide today what you want to spend your hard- earned money on this month and review this list over the next 30 days so you have more prompts right here then you get a monthly budget worksheet and this goes through all of these different categories I'm going to grab real quick the home planner I want to see if the budget page is the same I believe that it is so we've got charity savings housing utilities medical clothing food personal Transportation miscellaneous and total so this is the same worksheet you do have a place to keep track of your budget in your home planner if you have that but it is the same thing that is in the money planner but obviously the money planner goes way goes into way more depth with all of these different things this is the only like money portion of the home planner but I did want you guys to know that it is the same so if you are familiar with this you're going to know all of the different categories and like lines that are on here they're going to be the same all right so you've got your budget worksheet then you have a daily spending ledger so this is just where you're going to list out all of the things that you spend through out the day for you know each day of the month and then you have to ask yourself some questions when you spend money you're going to check is this cash credit or de debit so you're going to check how you spent the money then you are going to ask yourself was this a need or a want hopefully we're just spending things on our needs it's important to do things for our wants as well but you got to make sure that you budgeted for those things and then you have categories like clothing dining fun gas grocery personal and miscellaneous so this is really just going to help you stay on track with your spending because if if you've got to write it down and you have to put how you spent it was it a need or a want and then your category I think it's really going to make you really think about those purchases before you make them and then you've got a monthly review and a notes section so every month is going to be the same except for prompt on this page so you can see everything is the same I'm going to go to the beginning though and I'm going to read all of those different prompts so that you know what they are so in month one you're going to start a family budget meeting month two you're going to prepare your emergency fund month three try a no spend challenge month four change your prescription bills month five save on subscriptions month six check your utility bills month seven skip the restaurants and save month eight get paid to declutter month N9 check your transportation Bill month 10 watch for online discounts month 11 plan your next vacation month 12 schedule a Frugal date night so these are all of the different challenges that you will be doing so you guys if you are looking to pay off debt or save some significant money I definitely want to recommend this planner in the back you also get some additional notes Pages we have one 2 3 actually this one would technically be the one that goes with month 12 so I'm not going to count that 1 2 3 4 five six seven notes pages and then you have a pocket with a pocket on the back and that is the end of this beautiful planner so I just want to encourage you guys you know like I said if you are working to save money working to pay off debt and you need a tool this is a tool that's going to walk you through the process and really help you reach your goals so definitely check this out if it's something that you're interested in also I want to remind you about the tools now these are not something that you have to have especially if you've got some serious financial goals this would not be like a Frugal thing to necessarily spend your money on especially if you already have highlighters and you already have pens that work but if you are somebody that maybe you know having everything match and you know I don't know sometimes I feel like it with if you have really pretty tools it can help motivate you to really reach your goals so just keep that in mind but these are not a must have they're just really nice and they're pretty and I like them and I'm excited to use them so anyway check all of these things out on the passionate Penny Piner website I do want to let you
