Few teachers express aspirations for leadership, seeing it as an administrative or managerial distraction from the real business of pedagogy. Yet, pedagogical leadership is needed now more than ever. With change as the only constant and the pursuit of growth at all costs, we have seen record levels of teacher burnout in recent years, declining numbers of new teachers entering the workforce and a commoditisation of the profession. In this presentation Hayo will look at different forms of teacher leadership and their potential for both personal and educational transformation.
