In this video, I’m going to be doing a full review of the Nectar mattress company. Now, Nectar made my list of best online mattresses for 2024, but it didn’t make the top choice. That win went to Saatva, but Nectar did get a special mention for affordability, which is why I decided to make this video to review Nectar’s mattresses, because I felt like a lot of people who saw my video about the best online mattresses might’ve thought that just because Nectar didn’t come in first, they weren’t worth looking into, which is far from the truth. So in this video, I’ll tell you all about what to expect in terms of price, service, and quality when you unbox a Nectar mattress, what’s good and I’ll also point out a few things that aren’t so sweet about them to help you decide if it’s the right mattress for you or not. So I had some people coming to visit my wife and me, and our guest room wasn’t really that welcoming, to put it mildly. So we considered getting a mattress topper to make it more comfortable, but it didn’t take us long to decide on a new mattress altogether. ------------------------------------------------ User Experience ------------------------------------------------ Alright, so first let’s talk a bit about the company that makes these mattresses. Nectar, officially known as ‘Nectar Sleep', is California-based and known for their high-quality affordable memory foam and hybrid mattresses that they sell online with a lifetime warranty and a 365-day trial period with free delivery and returns. All of this has made Nectar a very popular brand with budget-conscious shoppers. But the company also had its share of controversy, firstly because it claimed that their mattresses were made in the US, when they were actually made and assembled in China, and secondly for being unclear about what kind of flame retardant they use in their mattress covers. But I did some digging myself, and I can tell you that their mattresses are actually more eco-friendly than many other, more expensive brands, and I’ll get into that later in this video. But what I think you should know about Nectar, is that they’re definitely ahead of their competition when it comes to value for money. Ok, so let's talk about the experience I’ve had ordering from Nectar... and, of course, what’s it like to sleep on a Nectar mattress. And if you’ve watched some of my other reviews, I guess you already know that I’m a hybrid mattress guy and I prefer foam and coils combined, so getting a memory foam bed for the guest room was the opportunity I was waiting for just to try a memory foam mattress and compare these two types. ------------------------------------------------ Pricing & Competitors ------------------------------------------------ So how much will you end up paying for a Nectar memory foam mattress? Well, the 12-inch high Nectar original is the most affordable option and a queen in memory foam is less than $700, while a Hybrid original queen will cost around $800. We went for the five-layer 13-inch Nectar Premier, which has dual cooling action, and my memory foam queen cost $950, also available in a premier hybrid for $1100. Now, if you decide to go for the 14-inch Premier Copper one, which has more cooling action thanks to having actual copper sewn into the cover and even more comfort, it’ll add around $300 more to both the hybrid and all foam options. And for all of these, you can add a queen-size bedding bundle for $160, which gives you two pillows, a mattress protector, and a sheet set for your new bed. Hope you enjoyed my Nectar Mattress Review | Real Footage: Firmness, Bounce & Edge Support Video.
