EchoAPI is a lightweight VS Code extension I mention because it makes API testing and debugging feel really frictionless. It works offline, doesn’t require signing up, and it even supports Postman scripts, so the transition is easy if you’re used to that workflow. What I really like is the auto-generated API documentation and the option to run everything locally to keep your data private.
