Criminal Lawyer Reacts To Woman Dying After Cops Make Horrific Mistake

In Feb 2024, Katrina Dukes was arrested outside of a hospital after it was reported that she was asking people for narcotics. Police arrive on the scene to arrest her. While interacting with police it's clear something is wrong as she's speaking nonsense. Police take her thinking she's just an addict looking for drugs. If the cops had done just a small amount of digging they would have known she was having a diabetic episode with her blood sugar testing in the 300s. While at the police station she was given Narcan 4 times which obviously did nothing to help her. Sadly, the next day Katrina passed away in her jail cell. This case brings up questions like what sort of responsibilities do police have when you're in custody? And should police receieve more job training. Most cops only have a two year degree.
