In this video I’m checking out the Asus ROG Cetra Open Wireless Earbuds, and honestly I’m just glad we’re finally seeing real variety in the open-ear space. For a while, a lot of open earbuds felt the same, but these are built with gaming in mind—mainly because you get a 2.4GHz adapter for ultra low latency, lag-free audio on console, mobile, or PC. You just plug the dongle in and you’re ready, and it even supports pass-through charging so you can game on your phone while charging at the same time. I break down the fit and design (secure ear hook, no ear tips, lightweight comfort, and that gaming-style customizable RGB), plus the physical buttons that are actually easy to use. There’s also an optional neck strap that snaps the buds in place, and it’s reflective, which is a nice touch if you’re using these for workouts or a late-night run. Sound-wise, you’re getting 14.2mm diamond-like carbon drivers that get loud, with good detail and solid bass—especially with Phantom Bass turned on, because without it the sound can feel a bit flat. I also go over Immersion Mode (subtle noise reduction, not full ANC), strong multipoint switching, big battery life (up to 16 hours + 48 more in the case), and the quad-mic setup with AI noise canceling for calls and gaming.
