Costco is my favorite place to buy large cuts of meat to break them down and ultimately save a lot of money. A whole brisket contains two main muscle groups. The Flat cut (leaner) and the point cut (Fattier). My Costco sells briskets 2 ways. The sell Choice Grade Flat cut briskets and whole Prime Grade Briskets. The lower graded and smaller flat cut briskets are more expensive than buying the higher graded whole brisket that is double the size. They are punting on that normal people don’t know how to separate the to muscle groups and therefor saving money. If you buy the whole brisket you are essentially getting the entire point cut brisket for free. The techniques are easy and you don’t need a lot of equipment. I will also show you how to grind the point cut portion of the brisket an make a true lay delicious brisket burger. These are completely free burgers!!!
