Beeline Moto II Motorcycle Nav is Calm Technology, and Overpriced

I prefer calm motorcycle technology over flashing screens and obnoxious alerts. The Beeline Moto II motorcycle navigation device is just that… It’s a simple, non-intrusive way of bringing semi-advanced navigation to your motorcycle. However, this simplicity comes at a cost. It’s both expensive, and somewhat limited in functionality. Not only is the device over $200, the accessories you might need to go along with it are, in a word, overpriced. This seems to be a trend with technology lately, both on and off the bike. Corporate money grabs are becoming the norm, and it’s frustrating. Follow along as I get a feel for this device and decide, basically in real time, whether I’m going to keep it or return it. You’ll see the gears spinning in my head, for better or worse. Notes: * I mention in the video that the navigation screen doesn’t show your speed nor the speed limit. Apparently there’s a setting in the mobile app that lets you fix this. It’s buried pretty deep, so I may have missed it. * I reached out to Beeline to ask if they’d send me a unit to test. They asked me to fill out some sort of form to become an affiliate or something, which I begrudgingly did. But I never heard back from them. It’s for the best since every review I’ve seen of this thing is done by someone who got the Beeline for free, and many of those reviews don’t feel 100% honest.
