Fly Fishing Brook Trout Brook Trout is one of those fish that have a special place in our hearts. My first trout on the fly rod was a brook trout, and we are so lucky in Ontario to have these Wild Native Brook Trout thrive. They are best caught by fly fishing in my opinion. Even if our catch here are not big fish, finding brook trout is a really rare treat. Brook trout are only found in waters of high purity. They are sensitive to water with poor oxygenation, pollution, and changes in pH caused by environmental effects such as acid rain. Knowing such places still exist is already a pleasure.
