Fishing the Fall Salmon Run can be the most productive and exhilarating time of year, but it can also be the busiest time in the rivers. You can catch Salmon by using a proper Fly rod or by using conventional fishing gear; in this video we used both. While swarms of fisherman try to pull Salmon from teeming rivers, a bit of research and a little leg work can take you to places where you can find solitude while you fish. Salmon are powerful, so be prepared to loose some fish. Practicing catch and release, as well as using barb less hooks, will ensure that there will be more to catch in the future. Also, when landing these trophies, it is best to keep them wet to give them a higher chance of surviving when released. For our setup: Fly Fishing: 8wt Fly Rod with Floating Line, 40lb test leader tapered down to 10lbs test, and some split shots Fly: Wooly Bugger (one fly pattern took them all that day, believe it or not!) Conventional Tackle (Spin Fishing): 12ft rod with a large reel, 17lb test main line, 10lbs leader, steelhead float, and split shots Bait: Roe bag Filming Gear: Main Camera - https://amzn.to/2XiRAex Head Strap - https://amzn.to/3lStcKO Point and Shoot Camera - https://amzn.to/3iEmk1W Social: Website: https://www.bryanwentfishing.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bryanwentfishingagain/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bryanwentfishing/ DISCLAIMER: Links that are included in this description might be affiliate links.
