Upgrading the F150's Exhaust - AWE System Deep Dive

👋 In todays installation, it's time to upgrade this V8 F150 with an AWE dual exhaust system! This particular truck does have an aftermarket exhaust, so I wasn't able to show the sound or uninstall, but it's definitely quiet and very easy to remove. So we had some cutting to do, which wouldn't be the case for the stock one. The uninstallation of the factory exhaust has three hangers to remove and that's it. The installation for this AWE exhaust system is straight forward. This kit can also be paired with a new midpipe which would just be one more pipe to install vs this video. So with our installation starting behind the midpipe, we are utilizing the factory hangers for the first muffler section. After that, connecting the rest of the pipes will require the installation of the provided hangers which I show in detail. Last up is the decision to either have the exhaust tips exit behind the tire or under the bumper. For this truck, we went with the side exit and the diamond black tips! This installation took us about 4 hours or so, but that included cutting which took some time, but it's an easy install and one that will give that coyote V8 a great sound! It is also compatible with the ecoboost version as well to give that a great sound too!
