Anthropic just dropped Claude Co-work plugins, and it basically lets anyone access “AI employees” in minutes. In this video I break down what a Co-work plugin actually is in plain English: it’s a pre-built expert you install into Claude that bundles skills (written instructions Claude follows every time), slash commands (one-click workflows like /onboard), and connectors (live data from tools like Gmail, Slack, or Excel). The big shift is that plugins are now organized by department—HR, finance, legal, marketing, engineering—so each team gets ready-to-run workflows instead of everyone reinventing prompts. Then I show the real-world stuff. I install the Marketing plugin and run a campaign planning command that outputs a consistent, structured markdown plan automatically. I also install the Legal plugin, upload an NDA, and Claude generates both a redlined version and a review summary with green/yellow/red flags. Finally, I use the HR plugin to generate an onboarding plan, then customize it so it matches how my company actually operates—and I connect tools like Google Calendar so Claude can pull real info (like what meetings I have on Wednesday). I wrap by showing a “connect anything” hack using Zapier MCP, which opens up 8,000+ apps and tons of actions inside Co-work.
