"Tuner" is incredibly satisfying, and the kind of movie they don't make as much anymore: a mid-budget character drama for grown-ups. Leo Woodall stars as a New York piano tuner with a hearing condition that causes him to be extra sensitive to loud noises. This makes him exceptionally good at his job, but also unexpectedly allows him to earn a little money on the side as a safecracker. The first narrative feature from director and co-writer Daniel Roher, who won a best documentary Oscar for "Navalny," is beautifully written and edited. Oscar-winning sound designer Johnnie Burn ("The Zone of Interest") makes this a fully immersive experience, and the music is great. Co-starring Dustin Hoffman, Havana Rose Liu and Tovah Feldshuh.
