I used the Iwata Revolution CR airbrush because I wanted more control than a rattle can for the vaporwave gradients. Being able to build opacity slowly and place color exactly where I want is what made the fades and glow effect possible.

Pros
- +Fine control for smooth gradients and fades
- +Works well with thinned acrylics and ink for pre-highlighting
Cons
- -Paint thickness matters—if it’s too thick you’ll need to thin it and/or add flow improver
- -Takes practice compared to just spraying a can
