The Challenges I Face in Reef Keeping | Blue Reef Tank In this week's episode, I'll be sharing some of the recent challenges I am facing as a reef-keeper with the Waterbox Peninsula Mini 25: Treating a flatworm infestation and dealing with cyanobacteria. This is the first time I have had to treat my reef tank to combat flatworms and so far, the treatment using Flatworm Exit seems to be working. I suspect that the flatworms were introduced to this newly cycled tank when I previously added some snails and hermit crabs. It is so interesting to see how the flatworms reacted to the medication. I am also having a cyanobacteria issue - I tried to manually remove as much as I can and hopefully, this will come under control. These are just some of the challenges in the reef hobby, but as long as you take the appropriate measures promptly, things will turn out for the better :) On a bright note, I've added the first corals to this Waterbox Peninsula Mini 25. I chose Acan corals as they come in vibrant colours and are relatively easy to keep and grow.
