Rest In Peace my sweet Baby Mandarin & 76-day Fallow Period to treat Velvet Disease | Blue Reef Tank I never thought I would be making this week's content. I had a Velvet outbreak in my Innovative Marine tank and this all started because I did not quarantine a new fish before adding it to the tank. Sadly, this has been a heartbreaking experience as I've lost some of my most beloved fish . . . I hope this can be a lesson for everyone in this hobby - PLEASE quarantine any new fish before adding them to your tank! As you may have seen from my previous videos, Peanut (My Baby Mandarin Dragonet) was suffering from Velvet. I did everything I could to treat her, including a 3-min freshwater dip, medication (Blue Planet's Multi Cure), and a 30-min hydrogen peroxide dip. However, all these only relieved her from her symptoms and the disease slowly took a toll on her health. Hoping that things will get better.
