How do I test my candles and determine which are PASS or FAILS? There is no one-size-fits-all rule when it comes to a perfect candle burn test. Instead, I find it more helpful to evaluate based on a set of guidelines. What am I looking for at each stage in the candle burning process. I divide my candle testing into 3 stages and have different expectations in each; Hot throw, wick profile, jar temperature, mushrooms, soot, etc. All these play a part when performing a candle burn test.
