The SMILE (Social Mobility Insight into Law Experience) Programme

At Birketts, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to practice as a lawyer. We recognise that there are barriers that face individuals who come from a lower socio-economic background when it comes to pursuing a career in law. The SMILE Programme is our initial step into helping to bridge that gap.
