This isn’t an easy video to make — and it might not be an easy one to watch either. But I wanted to open up honestly about my weight loss journey and the real reasons behind it. Since June 2025, I’ve lost over 16kg, and it’s changed more than just my physical health — it’s impacted my mindset, confidence, and approach to running. As I prepare for the Tokyo Marathon, my goal is to reach and maintain a race weight of 70–72kg. But this journey goes far beyond numbers on a scale. It’s about health, legacy, and refusing to give up on myself. In this video, I share the four biggest reasons I decided to make a change: 1️⃣ A family history of heart disease and diabetes that I refuse to ignore 2️⃣ The loss of self-confidence that crept in over time 3️⃣ The desire to improve my running performance 4️⃣ And most importantly, not wanting to give up on myself This video isn’t about judgment or perfection. It’s about being real. If you’ve struggled with your weight, motivation, or self-belief, I hope this story connects with you. Let me know your own experiences in the comments — we’re all on this journey together.
