It All Went Wrong At Chicago Marathon 2025

After setting a personal best at the Sydney Marathon, I took on the Chicago Marathon 2025 — one of the World Marathon Majors and one of the flattest, fastest marathon courses in the world. Known for its friendly crowds, cool weather, and spectacular city views, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon is where I aimed to run my strongest race yet. With a more forgiving elevation profile than Sydney, I went in believing I could achieve a new marathon personal best — and I committed to my race pace from the very first mile.
