I’m not saying that to disrespect nobody. I’m saying it because I used to think the same way—worrying about “what if I can’t afford fuel” and “what if I barely profit.” But then I learned every business got expenses, and fuel is one of the ones we can’t control. The shift is mindset. Employees think “how much does it cost?” Entrepreneurs think “how do I make more than it costs?” If diesel is high, you should be getting more strategic—know your cost per mile, plan routes, stop booking low-paying freight, negotiate better, and build relationships with brokers and shippers (or lock in dedicated freight). I also talk about the real truth: a lot of people use diesel prices as a cover-up because starting is uncomfortable.
