In this video I take the Exway Flex out for what’s basically a once-in-a-lifetime ride: the Las Vegas Strip during the COVID shutdown. With the U.S. closing nonessential businesses, the Strip looked like a ghost town, and since my family and I were taking quarantine seriously (we’ve got two little ones), I went out solo and kept it responsible. It’s surreal seeing Vegas that empty, and it made for an unreal esk8 cruise and ride session that you’ll probably never see again. I also talk through what makes the Exway Flex such a big deal in the DIY/parts-nerd world—this is Exway’s newest dual motor setup with their forged Trist trucks, a flexible bamboo deck, and the option of dual hub motors or the Riot V2 drivetrain. The big headline for me is the improved 295Wh battery using Sony VTC6 18650 cells, because battery quality and pack design matter if you care about range, sag, and long-term reliability.
