This month, I am doing a history inspired spread in honor of the Six-Triple-Eight! In 2022, the members of the 6888 battalion were awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for outstanding service. They were the sole black, female battalion to serve overseas during WWII and played a crucial role in US victory in Europe by establishing postal procedures that kept correspondence flowing and morale high.
