Satellite shifters are an accessory for the Archer Components D1-X. These are buttons you can put anywhere to shift your gears, and the D1-X can be installed on any derailleur and cassette combination imaginable, with a programmable servo. Today we're going to test these satellite shifters in a few odd locations for fun, however they are in fact being used already to help riders with special needs. The other day I rode with @GoCatalystSportsorg who helps adaptive athletes go mountain biking (among many other things). Although the people and bikes that were present that day had mainly mechanical shifters, these satellite shifters are being used on adaptive bikes all over, as they can be placed literally anywhere.
