What you get with 8-electrodes is the limb data where you can see the division between the left/right arm, torso, and left/right leg. In terms of accuracy, I did not notice 8-electrodes being particularly more accurate than other scales using 4 since they are all using skin resistance data to make an educated guess on your internal data. The thing to look for is what type of scale you want. If you use the App extensively, then you do not necessarily need a large screen that will make the device cost a lot more. Be it on the handle bar or on the scale itself. If you want the full functionality with minimal cost, I would buy one with the minimal screen and use the app to read the rest of the data.
