Wild Camping in the Peak District - spent too much time in the pub!

We have come to the Peak District National Park wild camping to take on the Mam Tor and The Great Ridge hiking trail. We started our backpacking trip from Castleton, hiked up through Cave Dale and past Peveril Castle on the plateau. From there we backpacked across to Mam Tor where we reach a very busy summit. From there the hiking route took us across The Great Ridge, past Back Tor and onto Lose Hill where we descended to Hope. Before our wild camp we has a quick beer before backpacking our way across back to Castleton. We stopped for a very late lunch and a few ales before grabbing the backpacking bags and making our way back up to our wild camp spot. When pitched our tents with a great view of Winnats Pass, Mam Tor and Castleton. It was a great location for wild camping.
