I found the ultimate sleep system. Being a restless stomach sleeper, I always struggle to sleep wild camping. Standard zippered mummy style sleeping bags don't really suit me. I've been looking at backpacking quilts and sleeping bags for so long to try and find an unrestrictive but warm system. I've seen many reviews about the Zenbivy beds but they have been unavailable in the UK until now. Luckily Zenbivy have set up a website for UK users! Check it out here: zenbivy.co.uk/BACKPACKING_UK For those who are thinking who are Zenbivy? They are the makers of the Zenbivy Bed which is essentially, a draft-proof quilt sleep system. I've got the Zenbivy Light Quilt and Zenbivy Light Sheet, but you can also buy the full bed system including the sleeping pad and attachable pillow. As a wriggly stomach sleeper, I really struggle to find the perfect sleep system. Standard zippered mummy style sleeping bags have always been ok but not great. Even the roomy and zipperless ones are good but not perfect. Next there's the quilts, which can often be drafty. Simply put, the Zenbivy Bed is a quilt with a header piece that fix together. The idea is by fixing the two together will eliminate drafts. The added bonus of the header piece is that it's insulated too, which means your head will be kept nice and toasty too. The header piece slips over your sleeping mat and also has two fixing straps. No matter how much I wriggle I always stay put. I've loved testing this out. I have the freedom of movement, without drafts, and tonnes of comfort too. The quality is top notch and I was really impressed with the warmth it produces (l've got the 35 degree F Zenbivy Light version £249 + £85). The weight and pack size are very good too, even for my 25" wide and long version. If you want to go cheaper (but heavier) go for the original Zenbivy Bed and if you want to go top-end go for the Zenbivy Ultralight Bed (more expensive). For stomach and side sleepers l'd highly recommend the system. I have used the Zenbivy Light Bed with my Big Agnes Rapide SL insulated sleeping pad (regular-wide) and my Flextail Gear R5 sleeping pad (regular-wide). Both work really well with the Zenbivy Bed.
