Here is my review of one of the true original backpacking tents. Backpacking tents have changed massively over the years, especially with more people wild camping, but the original single pole camping tents still have a lot to offer. The Terra Nova Lazer Compact 2 is an ultralight backpacking tent that is compact and light yet spacious for 1 person and weather resistant too. It's quick and easy to pitch with good ventilation and lots of solid inner fabric. The benefit of the low profile comes at a cost of head height. This is a personal choice but personally I wish it was a little higher.
