Should you buy an expandable backpack? Here is a review of the Sierra Designs Flex Capacitor backpack. This backpacking bag expands from 60L to 75L. It is very cleverly designed backpacking gear and could potentially save you from buying a second backpack. For such a large comfy backpack, the weight of 1210 grams is quite extraordinary. However, I personally wouldn't want to carry over 15kg hiking over a long distance. Larger backpacks tend to have lots of features. This Sierra Designs backpack does have limited features. However, you can't expect everything for such a lightweight pack. The new versions come in two sizes. 40L to 60L and 60L to 80L. The new version does address some of my drawbacks.
